VENDOR info DETAILS

  • Vendors are responsible for their own setup. Requirements for May 2 are as follows:

    • 10x10 pop-up tent (required for safety — sun and weather protection) 

    • Tent weights (required — do not stake into parking lot)

    • Table(s) and chairs

    • Your own display, signage, and branding materials

    • A tablecloth is strongly encouraged — it matters how we show up

    • Extension cords if you need power (limited power available — notify in advance)

  • If you are selling any food — prepared, packaged, or grown — you must have the appropriate documentation:

    • Cottage food producers: cottage food certificate required

    • Prepared food / hot food vendors: short-term food license required

    • Produce / farm vendors: verify with us based on what you are selling

    • All food vendors must submit documentation before market day

    • Vendor Load-In between 8:30am - 10am.

    • Vendor Load-OUT between 3pm - 4pm

  • We prioritize local, proximity-based vendors. We are not just looking for any vendor — we are looking for the right vendors for this block.

    • Black and brown growers, farmers, and urban agriculture producers

    • Value-added food makers: pickles, teas, sauces, baked goods, fermented foods

    • Local artists, makers, and craftspeople

    • Food and community businesses rooted in South Minneapolis and nearby neighborhoods

    • Businesses that want to grow roots in this community — not just drive in and drive out

    • Live music

    • Cooking and fermentation demonstration

    • Seedlings from CANDO / Plant Grow Share

    • Community screen printing activation

    • Cross-promotion with 16–18 corridor businesses on 38th & Chicago

    • Community giveaway element (TBD, pending Minnesota Freedom Fund confirmation)
